![]() June 18-23, 2006 are the dates for the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music 2006 String Camp. Nine Langston Middle School Orchestra students had the opportunity to attend last Summer. This year we are hoping for many more. The camp size will be limited to 200 campers, assigned to one of the three Orchestras. Students report to the BW campus Sunday afternoon. Music activities include: Orchestra rehearsals, ensembles, sectionals, supervised practice, recitals, and concerts. Recreational activities include: swimming, games, movies, a dance with a DJ, arts and crafts, Swings 'n' Things, and a Talent Show. The cost for the camp is $400.00 per student. This includes: room, board, and all camp activities. Scholarships are available to eligible students. Money received from the sale of School Concerts DVD's will be used for the Summer String Camp Scholarship Fund. Ms. Thomas plans to attend the camp this year.
